Athens Friday

  Sort of a lazy day, didn't do much other than walk the streets in the neighborhood and shop up and down the street.  There is a small plaze about six blocks away, walked in and out of every store looking at what they had and talking to the people that understood me!!!

   Stopped by the supermarket on the way home and picked up some things, but can see why Greece may be having some problems with the economy...they don't really seem to care if you come in and aren't very appreciative when you do buy.

    Saw on the news tonight where they don't want the cruise ships coming...as a protest to the problems they are having, but seems to me they are shooting theirselfs in the foot.  These people on the cruise ships bring in a lot of money...the one thing Greece seems to need at this time.  Oh well, can't solve their problems myself.  Saw in the news where Hungry's problems caused a selloff on Wall Street Friday and the Euro is below $1.20....good for us I guess.  Seems as though the EU should have taken Barrack O'Bama's lead and gone for the bail out when we did so they could have staved off some of these problems.

   Well I did have a couple of Smart sightings today and reached in my pocket to take a picture...but didn't have my camera with me, so that explains the lack of pictures in today's post.  However I DO have one leftover from Santorini that I just looked at this morning I wanted to share...a night picture from the hotel....REALLY nice.
