Athens Tuesday

Had a GREAT dinner last night.  John's mother had prepared stuffed green peppers, stuffed tomatos, stuffed cucumber, and stuffed zuchinni....UMMMM, was SO good.

You can see how they buy Feta cheese...a HUGE can at a time.
Then the Olives were prepared and put up (we call it "canned" in Oklahoma) by John's mother.  Much different than you buy in the store.

A slow morning in Athens, highlighted by the smell of fresh coffee in the morning and fresh Greek pastries.

Later in the day we had to break out the "protection" images while we counted our "haul" from the islands.  Gonna eat good tomorrow!!!

As the day wore on I brought in the cloths after drying...remember how good the clothes used to smell when we hung them on the clothesline to dry, and how they came in with virtually no "dryer wrinkles" in them?  My tshirts didn't look like they had been wadded up and thrown in a pile...almost looked ironed!!!

The next "smell" of the day was the Greek gyros cooking at a nearby restaurant...um-um good, I thought I could almost take a picture of the aroma in the air.  Well it smelled so good we ordered a Skepasti Pita...which is a "covered", or two crust gyro pita  filled with meat and cheeses.  Was really good...till a couple of hours later!!

That's pretty much it for the day, was admiring the type of "crown moulding" in this apartment.  It seems to take care of one of the problems of both crown moulding or no moulding at all....if you notice, it looks like regular baseboard or door moulding and all around it is spaced about a 1/2" from the wall...thus much easier to manage the paint line.   Greek technology!!!

No Smarts today....didn't even go out, but will have a Kia tomorrow!!!  YEAH
