Up in the morning and packing for Mykonos, several things to do prior to heading down to the port. Pick up some batteries for the camera, cables for the computer, and check to see how we get to the hotel once we arrive in Mykonos at 8:45pm.

When I packed to come I figured I didn’t need to worry about toothpaste and other staples…you know, lighten the load as much as possible. Last night I went to brush my teeth and got the tube of ‘toothpaste’ out of the cabinet. Afterwards I thought “Damn, this Greek toothpaste tastes bad, not sweet like Crest or Colgate”. Oh well, don’t worry about the little things.

This morning made fresh coffee and some Greek Pastries and enjoyed the cool air on the patio. I only brought shorts and polo shirts, so may get a little chilly on that boat…well cross that bridge when I come to it. I mentioned to John this morning about the toothpaste tasting bad and showed him the tube…DAMN, it was Preparation H!!! Well there were no wrinkles in my lips this morning!!! LOL

Just checked my lottery numbers…luck hasn’t changed a bit…..didn’t win a thing. Will post more on the boat or once we get to Mykonos!!!!

Caught the bus to the port in Pireas and boarded the Jet Boat there. The boat was FULL and left right on schedule. The “snack bar” had a line from the time we left till we arrived in Mykonos. We finally decided to get in line and split a sandwich to hold us over till we got to Mykonos.

Was sitting next to a Greek Woman named Eleni, she was celebrating her ‘name day’ and said she would write down a list of places we needed to see while in Mykonos.

We passed a couple of islands on our way to our first stop at Syros…a beautiful little village on the island in the middle of the sea. Some got off, some got on, and we were on our way again.

In about an hour we docked at Mykonos and started our endeavor to find a way to the hotel. We took a bus to downtown Mykonos and from there got a taxi to the hotel. The room is great and the view is ‘greater’!!!

We decided to take a walk down the streets to find something to eat and of course found gyros a short distance away. After having gyros and a beer we took off for Little Venice and the windmills. Strolled some of the narrow streets, stopped and picked up some beer and headed back to the room to get a good nights sleep before striking out to see the rest of the city and the island tomorrow!!!

Oh yeah….and TWO Mykonos Smart sightings today!!!!!
