Munich to Athens
Well not a BAD trip over the atlantic, was a little rough, and personality wise, started out a little rough. We were on a "new" Airbus, toward the back, three seats in the middle...seats C,D,E. I was assigned "D", and another guy C. Well we sat down watching EVERY one board...hoping beyond hope we would be alone in the row so we would have some room.
In a bit this...should I say "older"...German stewardess came by and asked us...you all need something? We said 'no', she said "well then turn the light off", and off she went. Well we looked and the blue "service" light was on...but we checked the arms, seats, footrests and could NOT find a way to turn off this light. In a little bit here she came..."you need to turn that light off"....well with my German not being the best, I started in English. I said..."well I'll tell you what, we didn't turn that light on to begin with and you are going to have to show us where to turn it off". She started looking all the places we had already looked and I said "SEE....YOU don't even know how to turn it off"!!!
Finally she found the switch and said "well this is a new plane, they are always changing things!!!". A little bit later I saw her turn two light off ahead of us and when she came by I said "You learned your lesson well"!!! We both laughed.
Anyway we wound up with a seat between us and made for a pleasant flight...well was a little rough.

ot into Munich around 8:45...was 43 degrees, found the connecting gate for Athens and had a 'breakfast' beer while waiting to check in. My ticket said Luthansa to Athens but when I got to the gate it was Agean. Got checked in, and poor Greeks....Germany is so upset with having to bail out Greece they won't even let them park their planes at the terminal!!! We had to take a bus
to get on the plane!!! Again was lucky with the seat assignment...the plane was FULL except for one seat...the one between me and the German guy that was even bigger than me!!!! Had Greek food and music on the way to Athens and got here around 3:15. John and his dad met me and we had a "joy ride" through the streets of Athens. John's
mother had prepared a Greek Dinner that was delicious...then off to Ikea.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKkssjskLTQl6C0WYR3Xc4gtDKoFY8EHnBH8r60-p3EhGHVBSUWUAoOlGPVIEsnX-gjHoGDwYgGwkuYU1Clozyog8-RwFUOrK1wzygyTowxVBTAguG9EmTLztXgT2ZLv0cneiO/s320/IMG_1593.JPG)
That bout does it for the second day, catching up with the blog and watching TV....I can't find the SEP button for "english"!!!
